In 1985, CompuBox, Inc. developed the computer program that counts and categorizes punches landed/thrown (with pct.) in boxing matches. In 2007, CompuStrike, a stat- compiling program for MMA, was developed.
The CompuBox program produces live stats in 16 categories, while CompuStrike, also a live application, delivers stats in 26 categories.
CompuBox’s clients include HBO, HBOPPV, HBO.com, ESPN, ESPN3.com, Telefutura, TopRank PPV, HD Net (MMA), Showtime (MMA), Versus, Broadway Boxing, BoxingScene.com, BadLeftHook.com; MaxBoxing.com, MSG Network, NBC Sports, Custom Special Tees, Inc. (Fight Program Content), Ballroom Boxing, Turner Sports, Cedric Kushner Promotions, and various Pay Per View promotions.
CompuBox Inc. has been hired by trainers Eddie Futch, Emmanuel Steward, Freddie Roach, Kenny Adams and Miguel Diaz and worked with champions Larry Holmes, Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks, Evander Holyfield, Mike McCallum, Pernell Whitaker, Meldrick Taylor, Mark Breland, Lennox Lewis, Oscar de la Hoya and other contenders, compiling analysis on future opponents and attending the champs/contenders training camps to evaluate sparring sessions.
